Grazie alla proficua collaborazione tra la Biblioteca Generale della Custodia di Terra Santa e la British Library, è ora possibile prendere visione delle digitalizzazioni della collezione di manoscritti, databili tra XII e XX secolo, conservati presso la nostra Biblioteca.
Il lavoro svolto per la digitalizzazione di questi preziosi documenti si colloca all’interno del più ampio progetto avviato dalla British Library e intitolato “Endangered Archives Programme” (https://eap.bl.uk). Esso si focalizza sulla digitalizzazione di materiali antichi e preziosi provenienti da biblioteche e archivi di tutto il mondo e a grave rischio di deterioramento, in modo da renderli maggiormente accessibili a studiosi e ricercatori interessati.

Thanks to the successful collaboration between the General Library of the Custody of the Holy Land and the British Library, it is now possible to examine the digitisations of the collection of manuscripts, dating from the 12th to the 20th century, preserved in our Library.
The work conducted for the digitisation of these precious documents is part of the larger project initiated by the British Library and entitled 'Endangered Archives Programme' (https://eap.bl.uk). It focuses on digitising ancient and valuable materials from libraries and archives around the world that are at serious risk of deterioration, in order to make them more accessible to interested scholars and researchers.
